The void behind Ye Zheng suddenly tore open, and a figure stepped out from the rift.

The newcomer was dressed in a magnificent black robe, his long black hair tied in a high ponytail that almost reached his ankles. His handsome face held a hint of mischief.

It was Ye Tianshen, the general of the Demon Realm’s First Legion!

It was common for people from the six realms to trespass into other realms.

Ye Tianshen simply assumed that Ye Zheng and his group had come to the Mortal Realm to cause trouble.

He happened to be searching for traces of the Demon Lord in the Mortal Realm and sensed the aura of Demon Annihilation.

Out of curiosity, he came to investigate and happened to hear Ning Yechen’s arrogant words.

Ye Tianshen was furious that Ye Zheng and his group had lost to someone from the Mortal Realm.

The reason he punished Ye Zheng was not only for trespassing into the Mortal Realm but also for losing the fight!

The Demon Realm valued honor and dignity above all else. Losing a fight was equivalent to losing face for the entire Demon Realm!

This was what angered Ye Tianshen the most.

Initially, he hadn’t planned to intervene. Even if they lost and died, it was because they were weaker; there was nothing to say about it.

But Ning Yechen’s last words were simply too arrogant, so he couldn’t help but show up.

All for the sake of welcoming back their great Demon Lord!

“Has no one else ascended to the position of Demon Lord since I left?” Ning Yechen asked, puzzled.

In the Demon Realm, the strong reigned supreme, and countless individuals sought to claim the throne of the Demon Lord.

Even he had fought his way to the top, defeating all challengers to become the supreme ruler.

Logically, after he left, there should have been many vying for the position.

Ye Tianshen nodded and replied with a cold and solemn expression:

“Indeed, after your departure, there were those with treacherous intentions who attempted to claim the throne.”

“We have eliminated all those with rebellious ambitions!”

“They are not worthy of taking your place, Demon Lord!”

Ning Yechen: “…”

Ning Yechen was speechless.

So, this meant that for over a hundred years after he left, the Demon Realm had been without a Demon Lord…

He had thought someone would have taken his place by now…

He was already prepared to retire peacefully and enjoy the rest of his life…

“Please come back to the Demon Realm with me!”

Ye Tianshen pleaded once again.

Ning Yechen waved his hand dismissively and refused without hesitation:

“Because I have more important things to do now!”
