Chapter 48
You Recognize Me, Right?
Lu Chengfeng paused for a moment, then replied with a smile, “If Senior Sister is willing to come, I’d be delighted.”
Lu Lingxi nodded without saying anything further.
“I think we should set a date for another gathering and have a drink together, how about that?” Xu Changge suggested.
After spending over a month together, they had developed a certain camaraderie and didn’t want it to fade away, hence the invitation for another meeting.
Exchanges between disciples from different Inner Peaks were beneficial for their cultivation, and cooperation among the five peaks was often necessary during trials.
Lu Chengfeng was naturally happy to agree. He had few connections in the Inner Peaks, knowing only Zhou Tong. Building relationships with other True Disciples was undoubtedly a good thing.
Hearing this, Tan Xiong glanced at Lu Chengfeng and said, “Alright, but after we return this time, everyone will probably be exchanging for pills and entering seclusion to cultivate. It’s hard to say when we’ll be able to come out again.”
“How about we make plans after we leave seclusion?”
The others had no objections. They didn’t want to completely sever ties, and the exact timing of their next gathering wasn’t crucial.
The group traveled swiftly, finally leaving the Bewildering Swamp before sunset. At the Dragonbreak Stone, they returned their black iron armor, agreed to have a feast together another day, and then parted ways.
By now, the sky had completely darkened. Lu Chengfeng walked alone in the night, having removed his armor and copper crown, his long hair flowing freely.
He didn’t head directly back to Bixia Peak but took a slight detour, going to another Outer Peak not far from Bixia Peak – Azure Dragon Peak.
He had once visited Elder Xiao on Azure Dragon Peak with Zhao Changzhen and clearly remembered its location and the elder’s residence.
Halfway there, a light drizzle began to fall from the sky. Dark clouds obscured the moon, and the night grew even deeper, making it almost impossible to see one’s hand in front of one’s face.
Upon reaching the foot of Azure Dragon Peak, Lu Chengfeng used his sword to cut a piece of cloth from his robe and covered his face with it. He then employed the Thousand Shadows Movement Technique, moving swiftly through the night like a phantom.
His mastery of this movement technique had reached the peak of the eighteenth level. In the darkness, he was truly like a ghost.
When he reached the mountainside, the two disciples guarding the mountain were taking shelter from the rain in a pavilion. A dim yellow lantern hung inside, swaying gently in the wind.
Lu Chengfeng flitted past them in the darkness, making no sound. The two guards didn’t notice anything unusual.
The night was pitch black, and the rain grew heavier. Lu Chengfeng was drenched, his hair plastered to his face, but his eyes remained cold and indifferent.
Following the route he remembered, he found Elder Xiao’s residence in the rainy night.
The place was easy to recognize. As the chief elder of Azure Dragon Peak, the most exquisitely built three-story wooden building on the entire peak was his dwelling.
When he arrived, the three-story building was still brightly lit, and he could faintly hear the laughter of women.
Clang!
The door suddenly swung open, a gust of wind carrying raindrops rushing in, startling the two disciples guarding the night inside.
“What kind of damn weather is this? Even the door got blown open?” One of the disciples grumbled as he walked over to close it. But he suddenly froze, his voice abruptly cutting off.
A thin, hair-like blood line appeared on his throat, slowly choking off his breath. His pupils dilated, and the reflection of a figure in black clothes appeared in his eyes.
‘When did he draw his sword?’ This was his last thought in life.
“Tell me about it. Master’s having fun upstairs, and we’re stuck down here listening. It’s damn frustrating,” the other disciple complained, taking a swig of wine.
Drip! Drip! Drip!
As he was drinking, he suddenly heard footsteps. They were very light, accompanied by the constant dripping of water. He turned his head in confusion.
Hum!
A flash of sword light came from nowhere, precisely piercing his forehead.
He still held the wine gourd in his hand, turning slightly to look towards the door, but a bloodstain appeared on his forehead. His body froze in the chair, motionless.
Lu Chengfeng was drenched, half of his face covered by the black cloth, leaving only a pair of cold eyes exposed.
Thud!
Only then did the body at the doorway collapse to the ground.
Lu Chengfeng walked unhurriedly to the door, closed it tightly, and locked it from the inside. Then, he slowly ascended the stairs.
The second floor was where the maids and servants resided. At this hour, after a long day, most of them were already asleep, except for three or four maids still attending to matters on the third floor.
In the dark and silent corridor, faint footsteps suddenly sounded, accompanied by the sound of water droplets falling on the floor, creating an eerie atmosphere.
Whether they were sleeping too soundly or were too afraid to come out after hearing the sounds, Lu Chengfeng walked all the way up to the third floor without any maids or servants coming out to investigate.
Reaching the third floor, the sounds of laughter and pleasure from the room became even clearer. Just by listening, Lu Chengfeng could tell that three women were enjoying themselves with Elder Xiao.
The lewd sounds emanating from within were enough to make one blush. The scene, even just imagined, was unsightly.
Click – the door opened, but the people inside didn’t react at all, continuing their revelry.
Two maids who were preparing hot water and a wooden tub looked up in confusion towards the door.
Swish! Swish!
A flash of sword light, and two bodies instantly fell to the ground. Even in their final moments, there was no fear in their eyes.
It all happened too fast. Their deaths came so suddenly that the sword light didn’t even leave a trace in their eyes before their lives were extinguished.
“Who’s there?” Elder Xiao finally sensed something was wrong. He kicked away the woman beneath him, pushed the other two women in his arms aside, and swiftly rolled over to grab the sword hanging by the bed.
However, in the next moment, his body froze completely, not daring to move a muscle. A sharp sword blade rested against his neck, its chilling intent sending shivers down his spine.
“Spare my life, hero! Take whatever you want, just let me live,” Elder Xiao pleaded, fearing that the person in front of him would cut off his head.
“Which of these women is your concubine?” The figure in black suddenly asked this inexplicable question.
Elder Xiao was taken aback but quickly reacted. He grabbed a naked woman on his left and dragged her over, saying, “This is my new concubine, Xiuzhu. She looks innocent but is quite the seductress in bed, capable of melting bones and captivating souls.”
“As for the other two, they are my personal maids, but I recently replaced them. They are a pair of sisters, offering a unique experience.”
“If you like them, hero, you can take them all.”
“Master, no!” The woman named Xiuzhu was terrified, her pretty face pale as she curled up, tears streaming down her face.
The other two women huddled together, trembling with fear, their teeth chattering, unable to utter a word.
“So, you’re giving her to me? From now on, she’s mine?” Lu Chengfeng asked slowly.
“Of course, of course!” Elder Xiao said with a forced smile.
Lu Chengfeng nodded, then suddenly asked, “You recognize me, don’t you? Or rather, you recognize my sword?”
Elder Xiao’s pupils contracted, his expression drastically changing. But before he could react, his head was severed, blood gushing out like a fountain.
Xiuzhu’s naked body was splattered with blood.
“Ah…” She let out a piercing scream.
Thud!
A head rolled and landed right in her lap. The woman fainted from fright.
